1/4″ Plate Shims for Steel Road Plates – 10 Pack
The Plate Locks PS14 includes ten 1/4-inch plate shims designed to help level, support, and stabilize steel road plates where the supporting asphalt or concrete surface is uneven.
These shims are made from a heavy-duty, high-strength polymer and are designed for use with compatible Plate Locks road plate installations.

Level and Support Steel Road Plates
Roadway and pavement surfaces are not always perfectly level. Plate shims can be positioned beneath a steel road plate at uneven points to help improve bearing, alignment, and stability.
The 1/4-inch thickness provides a relatively small adjustment for fine-tuning road plate support without making a large change in elevation.
Stack Shims When Additional Adjustment Is Needed
Plate Locks specifies that multiple shims can be stacked when additional leveling is required. This allows crews to adjust support beneath the plate based on the condition of the supporting surface.
After the plate has been properly supported, compatible Plate Locks ramps and anchors can be used as part of the complete road plate securement installation.
